Deeper Dive: Integrating Youth Development in Supervising & Supporting Staff and Building a Trauma Informed Care Approac

Day one: Participants will be re-introduced to the 6 Cs and share strategies and activities that specifically support the importance of integrating a youth development approach to your work and how to be a good supervisor for youth and adults. This day is appropriate for managers, supervisors and adult staff who supervise interns and/or older youth.

Day two: Will focus on helping participants understand the elements of trauma-informed care and how to apply the principles to their work. Participants will learn to recognize the body’s stress responses and the effects of primary and secondary trauma on youth and staff.
