Spring into Summer
Summer programs are important for the health and growth of youth in our region. Each Spring as students in the Paso del Norte region begin looking forward to the end of the school year, it is vital for parents to plan ahead and begin thinking about summer programming to keep youth safe and engaged during the summer school break.
To help families, the BOOST Network has developed a Summer Program Guide as part of the Spring into Summer campaign, that provides parents and guardians with important information on available summer programs in the Paso del Norte region.
Starting May 8th, the Summer Program Guide will become available and the BOOST Network will be featuring exciting summer programs through the Spring into Summer campaign.

KIDS' Night Out
Kids' Night Out was the very first endeavor to bring 1,500 children and youth that participate in the BOOST Network members’ out-of-school time (OST) programs to attend UTEP’s football home opener, which took place on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at UTEP’s Sun Bowl. Kids Night Out was supported and sponsored by the Paso del Norte Health Foundation, United Way of El Paso County, and Raiz Federal Credit Union.
Participating children and youth received a unique experience and created fond memories that will last a lifetime, not only enjoying a fun night out but being exposed to experiences that could foster and spark their interest in higher education. The children and youth that attended received tickets to the game, a t-shirt, and a voucher for a snack and a drink at the game. Kids; Night Out thrived with the participation of twenty-four member organizations.

The BOOST Network is proud to be the official host of Lights On Afterschool for the Paso del Norte region. This annual event takes place each October and is the only nationwide event celebrating afterschool programs and their important role in the lives of children, families, and communities.
The Afterschool Alliance organizes Lights On Afterschool to draw attention to how after school programs support students by offering them opportunities to learn new things and discover new talents. The events around the country also send a powerful message about the need for more quality after school programs.
With the support of our BOOST Network Out-of-School Time (OST) members, our signature event brings attention to afterschool programs in the Paso del Norte region and highlights the important role they play in developing youth in our bi-national community.
