Deeper Dive: Integrating Youth Development and the 6 Cs in Supervising and Supporting Staff and Building a Welcoming and

This interactive training will provide a deeper dive into the 6 Cs of Youth Development: Competence, Confidence, Character, Caring, Connection and Contribution. The training will review the connection between the 6 Cs and a Positive Youth Development (PYD) approach, including a focus on positive, developmental outcomes for youth resulting in young people with more fully developed social skills, civic and cultural competencies, positive attitudes toward community, and a strong sense of identity (AED/Center for Youth Development Policy Research). Day one: participants will be re-introduced to the 6 Cs and share strategies and activities that specifically support building an inclusive and welcoming program and support the supervision of high-quality staff. This day is appropriate for managers and supervisors.
