Learn more about Summer Programs!
Summer programs are a great opportunity for your child to improve their teamwork, critical thinking skills, stay active and more!
To help families, the BOOST Network has developed a Summer Program Guide as part of the Spring into Summer campaign, that provides parents and guardians with important information on available summer programs in the Paso del Norte region.
Summer Resource Guide

1.- What is the best age to go to summer camp?

The optimal age for attending summer camp varies based on the child's developmental stage and interests.
-
For preschoolers and early elementary children (ages 3-6)
focusing on creative arts, nature exploration, and play-based learning are ideal.
-
Elementary school kids (ages 6-11) can enjoy a range of activities from sports to arts and science.
-
Midd schoolers (ages 11-13) may benefit from specialized camps aligning with their hobbies.
-
High school teens (ages 14-18) can explore academic, career-focused, or adventure camps
Ultimately, the best age depends on the child's interests and goals, alongside choosing a reputable and safe camp
2.- Are the camps free?

It depends on the program. Some camps are totally free, others offer scholarships or financial assistance, and a few may ask for a fee.
3.- Where are they located?
All camp locations can be found in our catalog. There’s a map tab that makes it easy to see where each camp is located and find the one closest to you. Just click on the map to explore nearby options and choose the location that works best for you.
4.- Are there additional camps outside from El Paso, Las Cruces and Cd. Juárez?

Yes. In addition to the camps located in El Paso, Las Cruces, and Cd. Juárez, other camps are located throughout the region to better serve our community. In New Mexico, these include Anthony, Chaparral, Deming, Mesquite, Radium Springs, Sunland Park, and Vado. There is also a camp in Puerto Palomas de Villa, Chihuahua, Mexico, which supports families on the Mexico side of the border.
For a complete and up-to-date view of all camp locations, please refer to our interactive map.
5.- Can I add my camp to the list?
Yes! While we prioritize nonprofit organizations, the list is open to anyone who’s interested. To be added, simply send a request email to boost@unitedwayelpaso.org with details about your camp and the programs you offer.
